Having just scrolled down my blog I realized that it is positively anti-Bush and not much else and this could present this blog as just another anti-bush blah, blah, blah..
Well, while I am Anti-Bush and believe that he should be impeached and that he and the republicans have infringed upon more civil liberties than any other presidency in History etc. etc..
This purpose of this blog is not to be just anti-Bush. Bush is just what I am on my soapbox about these days. I have other things that will get my dander up now and again.
Nay you say?
Well, for example, how about if I said that your sickness is good for business? That the federal government doesn't want your country to be a healthy place?
Well, I don't have links at this time but from "looking at the movements" I ask you these questions:
Has the countries water gotten any cleaner since the clean water act?
If so, why are more beaches polluted now than when the law was passed?
If someone had told you when you were a kid, that water would be a multi billion dollar industry when you grew up, would you have believed them (for those of us over 30, I guess)? Does this represent a society that is getting LESS polluted or more?
That your ill-health is good for business and is just another way to keep the economy rolling and your sickness is the key to it, what would you say?
With all the FDA regulation and USDA regulation in this country and the billiions of dollars spent on and in these organizations, why are we one of the UN-healthiest countries in the western world?
Did you know that only 400 of the over 10,000 chemicals used in agriculture in this country have been approved for use?
Did you know that over 80 percent of the farm-aid that the government gives goes to farms owned by multi-national corporations?
That hi-fructose corn syrup is horrible for your health and should not be ingested? Do some research on it and read the labels of the food you buy. It is hard not to buy something with it in it. And corn syrup doesn't taste as good.
If you need an example of this, try a Coke made in another country, it tastes better. Here in California, it is easy to get Mexican Coke, not only does it come in a glass bottle (which is just the way it should be) but it tastes like Coke used to taste. They use sugar in the mexican bottling plants. They use corn syrup in the US bottling plants. This is because corn syrup is a cheaper sweetner than cane sugar. That and also that the US is better suited to growing corn than it is sugar. Of course it doesn't hurt that we, the taxpayer subsidize the larger corn growers.
Did you know that goat milk is better for you than cow's milk? Goat DNA is closer to human DNA than the cow. And that the fat molecule is smaller and more easily digestible than that of the molecule found in Bovine. Cows milk is really good for making a calf gain 400 pounds in it's first year of life.
Maybe if the goat growers of america had a better lobbyist...
OF course the real test is how it (goats milk) would taste with chocolate cake. If any of you know please get back to me. I always read the commments.
Don't get me wrong, I believe that people should be able to eat, drink, and live the lives they CHOOSE to live, as long as they are willing to accept the responsiblities that come with that lifestyle choice. Hmm, personal accountablity, another thing that is being removed from us, but that is another issue.
Anyway, see I'm not just about being Anti-Bush it's just what is some of the more pressing issues of the times.
Peace out
Big Ben
